A grain-sized chip that gives your dog or cat lifetime identification to ensure a happy reunion.
Although very scary, sometimes things happen. Your dog may come loose from their leash, or your cat may quickly sneak out the door as you were leaving. Having your pet microchipped is an excellent form of permanent identification to increase the chances of being reunited again.
We implant a microchip the size of a grain of rice under your pet’s skin, usually between their shoulders. It does not work as a GPS locator for your pet, but it is an excellent link between you and your pet if someone brings them in to have them scanned.
All veterinary clinics, SPCA and Humane Societies can scan animals found as strays. When your pet is scanned with a microchip reader, your contact information is displayed. The person who scans the chip can call the company that makes that specific microchip and access your contact details. For this reason, we recommend to keep your information with the company up to date.
